12/05/2007 - The day before the hike arrival and first team meeting
The adventure begins at the airport Cologne / Bonn. From there, most of our hiking group by TuiFly flier program immediately at Rijeka. After only 90 minutes we stroke the Runway. Rijeka airport on the island of Krk, which already is the first island towards base camp reached. The arrival was arranged by the hotel Televrin perfectly organized. At the airport our guide takes us in-law Danny from the hotel's shuttle bus. Supported by the car ferry from Valbiska on Krk to Merg on Cres, Denny brings us safely to the island of Losinj Nerezine.
tempt us in the afternoon holiday mood and good weather to swim in a small, secluded cove close to the refreshing waters of the Adriatic. At dinner in the hotel provides us with our trip organizer Karl-Heinz before the walk and gives us an insight to the daily challenges - We are afraid.
Cres - The Long Trail Cres - The first complete by migration from North to South
In the spring of 2006 came with the operators the wonderful Hotel Televrin in Nerezine on the Croatian Island Losinj and the organizers of the offered tours to the idea, wander through the neighboring island of Cres in a tour from north to south. No one had previously heard that this trail was ever made, it was this pioneering action to prepare carefully. Thus, in the following months to previously unknown pieces more or less successfully traversed, parallel, prospective participants were addressed directly from friends around the hotel and its makers of these.
In late summer, was the date (May 2007) laid the walk, allowing a dozen daring people commit their participation. Until the start of the walk on 13/5/2007 was the organizers enough time, route, time schedule to organize, accommodation and meals. And so it went with the warm-up meeting of all participants in the 12.5. Hotel Televrin going on.
